Safe Trails Coalition

What is the Safe Trails Coalition?

The Safe Trails Coalition is a community-led group formed to help, initiate, and expedite the creation of trails, easements, and bicycle/pedestrian facilities within Gallatin County. The Coalition has committed itself to help with both the short and long-term efforts necessary for the successful completion of new and existing trail projects. A number of local businesses and organizations are supporting this effort by endorsing the Multiple Use Safe Trails Statement for Gallatin County.

As many of you know, our valley is developing and changing at an explosive rate. With each change comes an opportunity and a potential problem for a safe trail network in our valley. We are working to try to create as many opportunities as possible for a meaningful and widespread trail system. But time is of the essence. We need your input as to what you'd like in a trail system, and we'll show you the areas where we are working with current developments and road projects to try to piece this whole thing together.
